THE XUAN COMPANY

The Company was founded in July 2016 to create the solo in Paris, Buckle, first part of a triptych on the theme of «We».

The second part is born in 2018 with the duo Reflect. These two pieces are broadcast in France and internationally (Italy, Poland, Vietnam...)

In 2022, the company decided to work on a recreation of the room Reflect. She associates the choreographer and performer Shihya PENG with this project.

The company also regularly collaborates with other partners for specific events (Kubilai Khan investigations, Cité des Sciences, Maison de la radio, Fête de la musique in Geneva...).

Xuan LE

Choreographer and performer

French of Vietnamese and Spanish origin, Xuan LE places blending at the heart of his identity and artistic approach. Champion of France and 6th world freestyle slalom in roller in 2009, he turned very early to dance. By merging these two disciplines, he develops a hybrid and original material, using his rollers as a choreographic tool.

He collaborates with many choreographers, including the Käfig company of Mourad Merzouki, the Cirque Éloize de Montréal, the Opera du Capitole de Toulouse, and the Danish company Next Zone led by Lene Boel.

He takes part in major international events such as the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, Art Basel 2025, the Shanghai Universal Exhibition in 2010 and the Nuit Blanche.

These performing experiences nourish an artistic universe at the crossroads of dance, circus and visual arts. Since the creation of the Xuan Company In 2016, he developed a singular choreographic writing through his artistic projects.

CHIHYA PENG

Choreographer and performer

Born in Taiwan, Shihya has been dancing since the age of 8. Trained in classical, contemporary and traditional Chinese dance, she is also interested in martial arts and hip-hop dance.

After a Master of Fine Arts in modern and contemporary dance in the United States, she moved to France in 2012 and worked with various companies:

Wang Ramirez , Eric Minh Cuong Casting, Jann Gallois, Barbara Matijevic and Giuseppe Chico, François Chaignaud, Karine Saporta, James Carlès, Collective (LA) HORDE, Théâtre du Châtelet, the Opéra de Marseille, the Troupe de l'Imaginaire du Théâtre de la Ville de Paris...

Since 2014, she has also attended a training of Gaga Movement Language by the director Ohad Naharin of the company Batsheva

In 2020 it created RainDrops, play for 20 dancers at Taipei University (Taiwan) with composer Alexandre Bouvier.
She also works as a dance teacher for BurnOut Cie in several Parisian high schools.
